I also eliminated my cable television bill and receive over 1000 channels over my computer, which I then connected to my tv. The quality is the same as my cable tv or even better. Each MagicJack unit has a designated phone number. As long as the user is online, the number stays active. Like the one I'm using, I have a US number that's been set-up under the state of California.
